What it is

Kisspeptin is the peptide that sits at the top of the reproductive hormone cascade: it triggers GnRH release, which triggers LH and FSH, which drive testosterone and oestrogen. Kisspeptin-10 is a short active fragment. Its discovery substantially rewrote the understanding of how puberty is initiated. It is investigational in the United States, with small human physiology studies, and not approved anywhere.
