PT-141
Also known as Bremelanotide, Vyleesi.
What it is
PT-141, bremelanotide, is a melanocortin receptor agonist approved as Vyleesi for hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in premenopausal women.
It is unusual in this book: a compound that completed phase-3 trials and reached approval, which is also available through research-chemical suppliers and used by a very different population for a different purpose.
It is chemically related to the melanotans, and shares some of their side effects.
