IGF-1 DES
Also known as DES(1-3)IGF-1, des-IGF-1.
What it is
IGF-1 DES is a truncated version of IGF-1 missing the first three amino acids. It is a laboratory reagent, not approved for human use, with no human efficacy trials yet. The truncation dramatically reduces its affinity for binding proteins, making it briefly very active and short-acting, roughly the opposite design approach to IGF-1 LR3.
