Where the dose figure should come from

This page does not supply one. For Cagrilintide the honest position is set by the evidence:

The book reports dose figures in four labelled bands, so you can always see whether a number comes from an approved label, from a published trial, from what circulates without trial support, or from nothing at all. That labelling matters more than the number.

If you have a certificate of analysis

Check whether it reports a net peptide content lower than the labelled weight. Peptides are usually supplied as a salt and hold water, so a vial labelled 5 mg can contain less than 5 mg of the peptide itself. Where that figure is given, it is the one to enter above.

The certificate describes what is in the vial. The evidence rating at the top of this page describes whether Cagrilintide has been shown to work in humans. Neither answers the other's question. How to read a certificate of analysis.

What this page will not do

It will not tell you what to take or whether to take it, and it is not medical advice. Sterile technique, storage and the provenance of the vial matter as much as the arithmetic. What is actually known about storage.

About Cagrilintide

Cagrilintide is a long-acting analogue of amylin, a hormone co-secreted with insulin that signals fullness. It is an investigational medicine with phase-2 data and phase-3 work under way, not approved anywhere yet. It is best known as one half of the combination drug CagriSema.
