Also known as cibinetide, Helix B surface peptide.
What it is
ARA-290 (cibinetide) is an 11-amino-acid peptide derived from a region of erythropoietin (EPO). It is an investigational compound that has reached small randomised human trials. It was engineered to retain EPO's tissue-protective effects while removing its effect on red blood cell production entirely.
